Parameter layout of the phylo-niche objective

Names and order of the theta vector consumed by niche_logpost() / niche_logpost_xptr(), matching Stan matrix serialization (column-major).

Usage

niche_theta_layout(S, P, parameterization = "noncentered_bounded")

Arguments

S

Number of species (tree tips).

P

Number of environmental dimensions (currently 2).

parameterization

One of "noncentered" (raw deviations, no bound on rho), "noncentered_bounded" (raw deviations, rho = rho_cap * tanh(z_rho); matches the Stan models), "centered", or "centered_lograte" (centered traits with declared log-rate parameters and lognormal rate priors).

Value

Character vector of parameter names in theta order.
